re: Ann: BEC: Response to article in Australi... Becton want to hold onto their projects and ride out the storm. Their board clings to the dream because without it they are out of a job.
My suspicion is that pocket size pirate ship MCX has run the slide rule over Bectons assets and reckons if the group is broken up and sold off that the value of the projects exceeds the bank debt by a decent old sum.
if MCX get control of Becton that unlocked equity comes to MCX pro-rata to our % shareholding on a winding up or dividend declaration.
is the Becton property group blue star airlines WRECKABLE?
Of course it is.
Why else has the skull and crossbones of MCX pulled up alongside. They had the same plan for Viento but it was too well fortified.
Becton, on the other hand, is near on defenceless now that we have effective control of more than 50% of their shares.
Do you really think Darren & Co are long term investors here? How long did it take them to flip the food plays? A few weeks?
MCX is a very very interesting stock, and offers huge upside returns if these kind of plays come off.
