An interesting article: It was costing Focus $1,893 an ounce to mine the precious metal in the March 2013 and gold was trading at $1,350.
Provides why explanation of why they shutdown the mine in 2013... but some inconsistencies with the 2017 Annual report stating PFS cash cost at $1,200. The article indicated that they spent $100m on the mill, maybe they wrote down mine development costs and maybe there were basing the PFS on a improved resource base, but I would like to know the details how they closed $600+/oz cost gap.
