Innovation does not come without risk, but the simplest analogy here is that RMD is establishing an ecosystem not dissimilar to Apple/iTunes/iCould. As a medical professional (but mediocre investor), let me offer how difficult it is for technology to disrupt the healthcare industry. There are reasons for this, but this first-mover advantage is potentially a step-change in chronic disease management. This is not merely an incremental benefit.
You are obviously an experienced and highly analytical investor, and would already be well aware of how technology has (for example) revolutionised FMCG and pizza delivery.
