Go away and do a simple bucket experiment. Put 2 spoons of salt in one 5 L bucket and 3 spoons of salt in another 5 L bucket and leave them in the sun. Come back and tell us which bucket has the most salt when the water has evaporated.
Whilst you are filling the buckets have one tap at full bore and one at half bore and tell us which one fills the fastest.
Finally fill one one bucket from a 5000L tank and the other from a 100000L tank.
For your information the bucket containing 3 spoons of salt filled at full bore from the 100000L tank is LD the bucket containing 2 spoons filled at half bore from the 5000L tank is MacKay. Think about it.
