    It will be interesting to see if the Organic Beef brand will survive this period of low/no production and sales...Customer's will have found other brands to buy and may not be willing to switch back when Mr Hughes decides to increase production again.

    I am quite ok with AACo letting the live cattle price boom pass by in favour of transitioning to a more sustainable long term strategy. Most other people on this forum seem to forget that in 2013, AACo (with a live cattle strategy) was almost bankrupt.

    As Jason said at Yulgilbar Beef forum, AAC is now producing more revenue from fewer cattle and in FY17 when revenue dropped 10pc, year-on-year profit went up 3 times

    Everyone has lots of opinions to share but it is hard to argue with the facts
