Paul Keran, that brings back some memories. After the 2013 AGM in Cloncurry, I sat next to Paul on the plane trip back to Brisbane (I'd booked business class) and peppered him with questions, of which I got some interesting answers IIRC, that had not been on the intended information for release list.
I asked a question about one topic and indicated that I'd been told this info from WM, but Paul got the topic mixed up and answered about something totally different, with some information that 'surprised' me to say the least when I worked out what he was telling me!!
I was one of the people (suckers??) that took up the rights issue with the free attached options around that time, and by April 2014, knew that what we were being told/ had been told was a load of...........(insert word of choice!!)
As soon as the announcement about the ore sorter 'TRIAL' came out in late April, I dumped all the shares I had, at around $2.20, and luckily sold the $2.50 options for 50c (all 20,000 of them!!). I still feel really sorry for the person that bought them (they expired worthless)!!
The ore-sorter had always been spoken in terms of generating early cash flow, ready to go, fully tested etc etc, when we were in Cloncurry, November '13, plus several senior executives of the company had been crowing about how much cash it was going to produce, basically as soon as they turned it on. The word 'TRIAL' was never used!!
The second that word 'TRIAL' appeared in the heading of the announcement of 29th April 2014, I knew for certain that us shareholders had been c....., err I changed my opinion drastically.
I ended up suffering a small loss on my CDU experience (very luckily only a small loss), and have been much more wary of what directors/company insiders tell me/others ever since.
CDU certainly was an experience, and I'm growing increasingly confident of using the past tense.
