Perth director, David Alan Zohar, has pleaded guilty to three counts of providing false and misleading information to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). It does take a long time...
Appearing in Perth District Court on 14 February 2014, Mr Zohar admitted to providing the information in connection with Aluminex Resources Limited’s September 2008 float.
Following Aluminex’s suspension from the ASX in October 2008, ASIC made the company pay back the money to subscribers of the shares under its prospectus.
Mr Zohar was charged in May 2012 (refer: 12-105MR).
Each charge carries a maximum five-year jail penalty.
Mr Zohar’s bail continues. He is required to attend the Perth District Court on Friday 28 March 2014 for a sentencing hearing.
The matter was prosecuted by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
