Fairfax own 60% of Domain Group, so what motivation could they have to put out a negative story that is false. No the reality is everything in the story is true. I guess they had to make a judgement call, let their competitor Newscorp/REA release the story, or fall on their own sword. Also, the AFR has a reputation of independent news, which means they really could not cover up this story, when their CEO had inside information. The unfortunate thing for shareholders is that delays in revealing the truth has cost investors millions of dollars, whilst upper management walk away with millions of dollars in salary entitlements. Corruption at the highest level, the "Cat Fish" really does rot from the head down as reported by the Australian Financial Review.
