Hate to be cynical with regard to board directors but, in my experience, they sit around beating their gums in Board meetings, in many instances they don't even read the Board papers prepared for their edification. All this while the CEO and Executive Management team actually make something happen. The EMs then report this to the Board who congratulate themselves with a slap-up dinner and large quantities of expensive wine at the shareholders' expense. Just sayin!
