All in my opinion only,
it would be a breach of ASX listing rules as well as compliance with Corporate laws that are designed to protect shareholders from information that is not know to the market being distributed.
That of course excludes the parties involved in the acquisition but they would/should be signatories to confidentiality agreements.
An acquisition wouldn't/couldn't be slapped together over days, maybe King knew it was close to being finalised when he thwarted the issuing of the 249D two weeks ago by asking for time, it been mentioned before that King is no fool (per se, as he isn't very good at running GPP)
Whatever it is, it will need the approval of shareholders, the next meeting held by GPP is for acceptance of the new acquisition and/or a change in the board, it is all irrelevant until we see what transpires.
Maybe GSM have some more great tenements they want to get rid of .......
