I don't think anyone was "hoping" WIN would fail, as success...

I don't think anyone was "hoping" WIN would fail, as success only bodes well for the rest of the FR explorers. I think it was more down to the whole lack of proper exploration of that hyped up conductor and people being way too optimistic and excited over it. Had they done more tests first then I am sure people would have been a little less judgmental on that snap decision to drill it.

WIN have so much land that providing they can keep on raising the needed capital, they're bound to one day hit it big. The advantage BOA have is that they're directly on the strike that SIR have so it's a little more proven (although still risky!) Perhaps WIN will finally hit nickel and bada bing bada boom they've got a block of land that extends along the entire strike.. Who knows.

For now let's just hope BOA have good news to report and all the FR hopefuls get a much needed kick out of it.
