i am also a shareholder of CTN ( and CIE & CGA ). I like their overall investment style and management.
The meeting requisition on the surface is about 2 key issues - proposed appointment of a 2nd investment manager and name change from Contango to something else. I do agree that these 2 issues need to be voted on by all shareholders as they are substantial changes from their historic position ( not currently what the CTN board is planning).
Not sure about the Sandon Capital connection, but could be involved based on their activist activities - not what i want to happen.
I have spoken with one of the requisitioners and he says he is acting on behalf of a group of unhappy shareholders ( not defined ).
