Here is an interesting bit I found on the Facebook page from one of their posts.

Mr. Gulaptis said he opposes a cobalt mine in the Clarence Valley but will not oppose the government issuing exploration licences for mining. He said he will present the group’s petition to stop the mine to Parliament but it will be a waste of time, even 10,000 signatures will not make a difference - the mining licence fees and stringent licence regulations will make it too hard for them to go further. Mrs von Ahlefeldt pointed out that Castillo is already planning to ship tailings from the old Cangai Mine to China for processing, which will fund the development of an open-cut cobalt mine.
