Microsoft's BizSpark program gave Thred US$120,000 (A$160,000) worth of Azure credits.
This amount is given to all on the program as an upfront once off entitlement. It is not recurring and the BizSpark program does not provide any further funding.

Thred is initially planning a limited market release. The app is likely to be launched in New Zealand, Canada and other places where they can can get that all important market feedback – allowing them to iterate Thred before doing a full global launch.
