No reason for Westgold to sell at all. They have lots of cash, and MGV has already defined some resources they plan on co-mining/processing and the new discoveries are likely to increase interest as Westgold's nearby mill (and their shareholders) will love any mine life extension. Selling now (at a likely loss as it would push price below application) might mean having to buy back at a much higher price in a year or so.. saying that, I have seen potential acquirers work to keep prices down so they can acquire at a better price down the track, but we'll start seeing that in substantial shareholder notice filings so quite unlikely.
Sellers will continue to be the new retail investors they acquired last year in a couple of raises - they have neither the patience or likely financial resources to wait for this story to adequately develop.
