When I went over for the AGM in November, I also had a close look at it.
At the time there were approx 2,300 different shareholders on the registry. My notes from that time show the following breakdown of smaller shareholders (rounded to the closest 50):
1,850 shareholders holding 400,000 shares or less
1,600 shareholders holding 200,000 shares or less
1,350 shareholders holding 100,000 shares or less
1.050 shareholders holding 50,000 shares or less
Therefore there are over 1,000 investors/traders holding share parcels currently worth around $1,000 or less, however these parcels equate to just over 43,000,000 shares.
What does this all mean I hear you say???? Well IMO that is a lot of shares in the hands of small investors. I am not sure how many of them are still holding now
