The selling might have been caused by recent news relating to US vs China tension on the South China sea, and the ongoing trade war between US & China.

What people don't realise are that. The trade war between US & China, is actually good for XPD

XPD is a mid-tier shoe brand. Not high end, but not also the cheap stuff.. they're a middle range products.

    - XPD does not export to the US, therefore TRUMP tariff does not affect XPD at all

    - Chinese consumers ( possibly with encouragement from Chinese government) will shun foreign brand such as Nike & Addidas in retaliation to TRUMP tariff on chinese good imported into the US. consequently, Chinese domicile brand will pick up market shares, brand such as Li Ning, Xtep, Anta and XPD will benefit. However, due to slow down economic growth. chinese will tighten their belt, consumers will least likely to choose high end brand like Li Ning or Xtep, rather they'd go for quality middle range products such as XPD.

    - as the trade war between US & China intensify, China will want Australia onside. or if that is not possible, then for Australia to be at least neutral.. Therefore it is unlikely that the Chinese government will want to piss off Australian investors, by not approving SAFE transfer.. etc.. on the contrary, they will need to bend over backward to accommodate Australia's needs, as they seek to persuade Australia not to join the US in attacking them economically.

For the reasons above, i think investors in XPD stock will benefit from the ongoing trade war between China & US.
