This whole debacle is so disheartening. A whole lot of painful knee jerking and fleeing will take place which will take a long time to recover from… How much do they need to raise to get a mine going??? Many wanted them to ‘go it alone’ and realise the full potential once it was supposedly ‘de-risked’… careful what you wish for ay! 50% of a potentially very profitable resource but not much in the coffers to get things rolling… what a bugger.I can’t blame the government for wanting to put an end to ‘exploitation’ and for wanting to get their cut to better improve the country (if indeed that’s what will happen to the funds) but some of the accusations made against Acacia are far-fetched to say the least and only allowing arbitration in Tanzanian courts is a bad look… All I can say is a MASSIVE bugger!
