It's not about dyor, you are missing the point. It's about remaining relevant and in touch with a tight and competitive investing market. A company is a brand and a brand needs marketing to stay relevant and on the radars of interested people.
Far more chance of a slow and steady SP rise with a methodical, steady and consistent news flow approach. A few announcements a year is more likely to lead to pumps on announcement and then dumps once the 3 months of silence comes along and everyone gets bored waiting.
