If you "heard" they had brilliant applicants for the CEO position and that Archie wouldn't make the short list, then you certainly do know more than us mere mortals...
Who told you that Archie wouldn't make the shortlist? Not the current board members or our inept Chairman by any chance?
If it was one of them, of course they would say that given that Archie, Delaney and Mann are potentially on the verge of getting them kicked off their gravy train they have been riding on for way too long.
Since Archie has left, there have been no updates apart from the half yearly - how many days do we have left before CE? Apart from outsourcing the job of recruiting a new CEO, what are the day-to-day jobs that Hoffman is doing to justify his hourly "acting" CEO fee???
I wonder what the weekly conference call from Zeiss consists of? Wonder if it goes something like this..... lol

Zeiss: "Have you guys sorted out your internal issues yet?"
Board: "Eh, no"
Zeiss: "How's the appointment of the new CEO going?"
Board: "Hmm, we have a shortlist but Archie's not on it"
Zeiss: "Hurry up and get it sorted"
Board: "We can't now as two major shareholders and Archie want to roll us"
Zeiss: "What?????"
Board: "EGM, likely"
Board: "Where are our CE and FDA approvals at"
Zeiss: " (silence..........
Hoffman: "I'll just tell the market they are about to be approved"
