re: Ann: Ravi Shastri appointed as Strategic ... Look, on second thoughts, this may not be too bad an idea. Hear me out. Ravi is a smart cookie. That's for sure. I have met him and my sources say that he is the one who guided/helped Sachin Tendulkar negotiate his contract, at least the initial one which was a bloody good one. More importantly, he'll be able to open doors to govt officials in cricket-crazy India. At the least, he'll get a look-in. This is where he could prove invaluable. In India, I think that is what it's all about, getting a look-in. How much time he can devote to this is the debatable point.
