Worth listening to Tolga on this clip - comments are very relevant for CAY:
He's talking about the Wesfarmers bid for Lynas, and responding to a question in regards to sovereign risk. Inverviewer question: "how much geographical concern is there... even for your own investments... what would be your view on that? ".
His response ad-verbatim: "...personally, when I look at investments around the world, it's really just find where tier 1 deposits are, you can't move them. And also, more interestingly is, what kind of relationships could you build with the governments in the country. And what does it actually mean for those regions or those countries, the development of those assets. So I don't see that (sovereign risk) being an issue, as long as you understand what their governments need and what their people need..."
Easy to understand why Tolga has taken on an advisor role with CAY - we're solidly ticking all the boxes!!
