When BPT were having a crack at DLS in the gloom of the GFC they were prepared to pay $17 per barrel for their reserves and failed.
Most people at current oil prices would expect about $20 up to a high of $25 per barrel for reserves IMO.
I agree that $40 is to high.
In the US oil reserves are calculated at $30 US per barrel much higher than here.
