What you guys fail to understand is the type of formation they are drilling into, ie: deviated wells to hit maximum oil pools as they are sitting in fractures.
So you could hit a big open fracture, get sprayed with oil, make the big headline, only for it to close in or deplete quickly.
They had the same thing when drilling Austin Chalk, when they got a massive oil spike, only to have formation issues when completing and draining fluid.
It's not an easy game in tight formations.
