There just seems to be such a yawning disconnect between Tony’s perpetually upbeat demeanor and the share price action and broader market sentiment.
Obviously we all believe in the project, but he isn’t pulling new holders into the register. He isn’t selling the story. I think his ‘Australian investors don’t understand Mexico’ narrative as a cop out. It’s Tony’s job to cut through.
Every time I see Tony on one of those video things he always seems as happy as a pig in mud, talking about what a ‘great place’ the company is in, etc. It’s so tactless and insensitive considering the ever diminishing share price
My feeling is he approaches each tenement with the eye of an old prospector. He’s excited by the exploration challenge, but as he has no significant holding, he may be less interested in share price movements, and less equippped to consider mine economics
He really does need to go. In my opinion he’s been around far too long and the market has lost faith in his leadership. Surely we can find someone better and more reputable (and probably cheaper too)
