With respect to the options , It's a very crafty game if one is ' game ' enough to play. And it's not just for the ' Big Boys ' , the soph's or the Bot's. It's just the normal run of the mill traders who are clever enough to balance or twig the stock specific ' Rhetoric 'So here's how it works folk's . You load up on the ' Oppies ' while you are very subtlety dropping in the hints that one has to be patient - CTM is a 2 - 3 year play here - with most of the average punters not having the patience to stay the course ......as they lack the experience. Say this enough - and everyday punters start to believe it - and that it is just to long a wait. Seems to me if I look back ( which I have done ) , the forward time frames quoted always seem to be the same. Here we are 12 months later and it's still being quoted as 2 -3 year time horizon. So as the time erodes and the sentiment wanes , the OB's drop and drag the heads into a virtual stalemate of sorts. Doesn't matter what news is dropped into the market , the large orders are rinsed through on the heads while the OB's are craftily accumulated at somewhat of a discount ahead of positive news and eventual expiry. That's what has happened here today IMO and I'm pretty sure you are not going to here anymore of this " common guy's you know its a 2 - 3 year development - it always has been " crap that has been intermittently dropped into the CTM forum over the last few months.A good example of how it might work in practice is if you take a look at GMC and the GMCO's which are expiring 21st April 2019. The options have a conversion/ strike of .005 cents and the heads have just popped up to the ' magical ' in the money .01 cents and our now evenly bid .008 - to the ask of .01. The options on the other hand can be picked up no problem en mass in quantity for .004 for a total conversion cost of .009. The crafty trader will use social media , twitter , facebook to subtly talk down the company to a point so as to acquire more options options ( like those options are cooked ) and then once the desired amount is filled the accumulator will reverse tact by up ramping the company for all its worth - with the money being made when the stock is dumped after conversion and at the peak of the company enjoying benefits from raising the extra cash which will usually be timed with a progress announcement. Will usually work better if the trader has at some point also accumulated some cheap ' Headline ' stock as well. This way they can dump the heads pre-conversion at the loftier height of the SP - then dump the converted options later. The whole process is based on probabilities and works great for Options with low conversion strike prices and which also correlate to similarly low head stock prices . Exactly the situation with CTM. In the end it is a ' Probabilities ' play and one which is not for the fainthearted or those ' Greenhorne ' investors who are not prepared to wait 2 - 3 long years......So , I guess I have indiscriminately assisted this person in fulfilling their trading strategy by gaining a PIP or two on their option's acquisition. Rest assured though , it is not me folk's.
