I thought John has been genuinely doing quite a task and he does acknowledge it is now at the stage of needing to show proof that his decisions and plans are delivering. He deserves some credit for that. It's easy to say there is not much evidence of benefits of what he has done since it is a longer term investment. And investors tend to be seeking more immediate results.

It's funny though, investors of mining explorers will justify any bit of news as good news even though commercial production may be as far as 10 years into the future, while producers may suffer when management seeks to take three steps back to move forward.
