Looking at the tenement map they've got the N. Reefs ground sorted which is their best ground so why not get stuck into it?
"theoretically some significant gold in the ground" - I don't need more drillholes to prove they have a heap of gold in the ground, but they do need to define how much is there before they can mine it which requires drilling (and govt. permission)
