"The Balla Balla export facility could also represent a viable export solution for the likes of FMG and API’s West Pilbara Iron Ore Project (WPIOP), whose respective expansion and development rely on the proposed deep water port at Anketell Point. The port however was facing constant setbacks due to the high capital cost and long construction time. Balla Balla’s advanced permitting and scalability at an attractive capital cost could put the project on the radar screens of the larger iron ore players."
