My two bobs worth, from a technical writers perspective.
If I wrote "continues to receive and review". I intend it to be used in present tense, that is an ongoing process and I would clarify in that context.
If I wrote "received and reviewed". I would intend to be used in past tense. That is completion of the process without new information received or to be reviewed. The addition I would have added is something like "This concludes the review process"
Yes subtle but provided it is not simply an admin change of terms in writing an update, then there is a difference.
