Thanks zipster. I wondered about a pipeline but had dismissed the idea due to capex required. (Although I have no idea how much the pipeline and pumping infrastructure would cost!)
Looks like a similar distance (by road in wet season) from Walford Creek to Mt Isa or to Karumba (i.e. circa 650km) but for Mt Isa there's no requirement then to on-ship to Asia if Glencore smelter is interested? Higher orocessing cost at Mt Isa may be offset by savings on sea shipping from Karumba?
The relative isolation and transport logistics for Walford Creek is the only reason I think of why the market has shown limited interest in AML. Other thoughts anyone?
