I don't recall any direct statements regarding the shipment plans but I can tell you the roads are not the best, impassable in the wet season (if it comes) and usually corrugated during the dry. If I recall from the last time I was up that way, it's dirt to Gregory Downs then (mainly) two lane bitumen to the Three Ways. North from there to Normanton has sections of single lane (that is one lane in total, not one each way) bitumen and the last stretch to Karumba is actually a nice road.
That being said, I would suspect they may follow Century's plan and run a pipeline to Karumba. The Century mine is "close" so they may even be able to repurpose the main section. It also depends on who the potential customers are, if they end up selling copper concentrate there is a possible customer in Glencore's Mount Isa smelter to the south.
