Yes, aircore drilling is cheap and relatively effective at pinning down a source re VIC tenements.
For those who are unaware aircore drilling is in essence dealing with the top layers of substrate until bedrock.
What Challice is trying to do is see if there is a vertical extent to the surface soil geochem. We are looking for a plume of anomalysis gold extending from the bedrock which tells us in essence that the surface geochem is illustrative of what contained in the oxide layer, and more than likely extends from the bed rock.... It would be great to get good results because our soil surface sampling (cheap) then becomes a viable and highly effective exploration technique.
Im just wondering if ESH or any
other posters have any hypothesis regarding the Murray basin sediments?? i.e- have they been deposited for a long enough time for anomalysis gold to build up?? and or is it likely that surface layers have been transported??
Im going to put out something bullish myself.... that is to say that VIC gold grades are high, and even low aircore grades can indicate and underlying deposit.
In short - even slightly anomalous aircore grades are value adding for Challice...
