The problem with Derewo is that it is situated in Indonesia and has been mined by illegal miners for years. Corruption with government officials and dealing with the likes of the inhabitants of that area was way beyond the capabilities ad experience of the WWI board and employees. Failing to get the C&C before commencing production did not help matters.
Pilbara is different kettle of fish regarding jurisdiction and clear formal legalities.
