The project is currently suspended due to security concerns in Southeast Turkey. These relate to the regional conflict in Syria and Iraq as well as internal violence within Turkey between the Government and pro-Kurdish groups. The parties have agreed to extend Condor’s decision period on the project to 11 December 2015, at which time it will consider whether it wants to commence larger-scale mining under the project agreement.
