According to Bloomberg data ETFS Metal Securities Australia Ltd - ETFS Physical Gold (Australia's largest physical gold ETF has total assets (on 26/7) of A$462 million.....I'm not sure if that includes other precious metals or not). The gold in this ETF (code ASX:GOLD), according to what I've read is held in London vaults under a custodian system.
