Nimbinchild- They will follow REA and Domain as these 2 companies will always hold more stock on their website. Why would a tenant swap to a company that has a fraction of the REA listings? I am talking REA however Rnt won't get close to domain even. Cannot state any more obvious to you but my question to you is how are Rnt going to get their stock levels equal to REA and at the same time charge agents???
In terms of attracting all the tenants looking at landlord listings or wanting bond loans well you can have them as they are the ones who want to avoid the financial scrutiny of an agency and don't have the $ even to cover their bond so they would not be accepted on our properties anyway. The private landlords will end up with all the pond scum.
Your being hypocritical nimbinchild considering my questions repeatedly asked over a month still haven't been answered.
You seem to think that rnt taking over market share from REA and domain will be like a schoolyard bully stealing lollies from a fellow school kid. Reality is its like Rousey taking on Tyson, if Tyson was in a good mood he might play with her for a round or 2 before delivering a knockout blow. The visitors Rnt are achieving is a pee in the ocean. They won't get close to Domain let alone REA. UV is not what we want as I have said a dozen times its enquiries. It's easy to drive visitors to a website if you are willing to fork out $. You are kidding yourself if you think agents are ignorant for not using Rnt if they have good uv numbers. I could show a 1000 of our clients the enquiry numbers of Rnt, REA and Domain and then ask if they want to spend money to be on Rnt and in all honesty I think I would get 1000 no's.
Djwally as I have mentioned private landlords can advertise on REA via a third party who also list them on several other websites. Ironically including Rnt for less than what you guys have forecast on this thread......The figures In the report REA wouldn't get out of bed for. As I said previously I believe it will be an impossible task.
Thanks for not answering my last question... I would call that weak. However I'll give you another chance, When RNT's uv expands and is quite hard to ignore, don't you think it would be ignorant of agents not to advertise on Australia's #1 portal for renting... ?[/QUOTE]
