    Very telling reflected light pic. The magnetite in the dolerite being replaced by pyrite.

    An extremely typical mechanism for gold ore genesis models: pyrite (with gold) replacing magnetite in a dolerite (gabbro). An iron-rich dolerite is a magnet for gold as the gold-bearing fluids percolate through.
