From my time in Indonesia, a lot of former colonial names have had their spelling changed to "indonesianise' them and many old Dutch and Portuguese names have been amended in this fashion. The Jakarta Post and Jakarta Globe have English language editions and are a useful news source as it's pretty clear the company hasn't been totally forthcoming on this over the past five years or so.
