However, miners are hated at the moment (and have been for some time) and this would have a bearing on Barricks current SP don't you think?
I cannot see why a sizeable increase in the PM's would not have a multiplier affect on miner SP's unless costs outweigh profits.

Ayn still has plenty of drilling to do and there is also the prospect of grid connection.

Yes, it's always a gamble however, potential is still there I reckon.
