Good find ddzx.
I thought I would see if there are any other Potash projects in Africa. Low and behold, there is one in ROC (Republic of Congo) right near ELM.
Their project is different to ELM as they have a production plant and access their potash in a non-conventional way (going by the videos that can be found on their website).
MAG also has a nice video which gives a bit of an overview of the country. Interesting to note that ROC is the most urbanized country in Africa (found that from Wikipedia).
Their project cost over 1 billion dollars, so to me this clearly proves that what ELM is trying to do is entirely achievable.
I also found this slightly dated article (5/10/2012).
Provides a good overview of what is planned. Also mentioned how great a place ROC is to develop projects due to its positive stance on investment.Elemental Minerals pushes ahead.
As a aside, I was wondering, due to the large nature of ELMs potash resource, in the longer term, could production of more than 2-3 million tonnes a year could be achievable? I ask, because as ddzx article above states, China etc wants big projects... or are they after more mature projects?
Radioactive, only just realised that we have a mutual friend. :-)
