An exciting quarterly which spells out the Iron Ore potential for Southern Cross. Many areas seem strategically located in an emerging iron ore exploration hot spot.
At JACKSON where Southern Cross are about to drill areas where goethite/haematite mineralisation has been identified with a 500m long zone located, within which the central 250m outcropping zone averages 58.8% Fe (65.2%CaFe)
Magnetite mineralisation has been identified at JACKSON NORTH with a 5km outcropping magnetite BIF averaging 37.2% Fe, potential for over 20km of ironstone can be seen.
At JOHNSTONE RANGE where haemetite mineralisation has been identified with over 30km of potential iron formation, seven areas of haematite mineralisation located, and rock chip assays up to 63.4 Fe. Drilling in September/October.
The next six months will certainly be interesting times
for SXG.
