Yatchy, their chart suggests you will be a buyer <3c for sure, good luck with that, nobody here cares though.
Is there a way of determining the current oil/water contact at U1/2 or maybe U5 without interrupting operations? I don’t know my extra virgin olive from my luvly high API crude, but it appears to me there are two possibilities, either the oil/water contact is about where it started 1m bbls ago, in which case the field is much larger than anyone knew, or it’s now markedly different at the original wells from natural depletion and there is therefore little communication with U4, which is evidence of compartmentalisation and the reason they are considering a horizontal. Joph, agree, we need @squidgy ‘s insight, if he would be so kind. From what I’ve read, horizontals can achieve as much as 20x production rates, so it won’t be the worst thing in the world.
@Langdon57 , I agree any movement on the Con Gas will be very welcome. This year’s SP fortunes may be much more about kick starting a viable gas business than the oil. The Con Gas is a limited development opportunity - not sure of frostings, but can BRU go it alone or will it require a partner (obviously the UG will) - I am guessing either way, we will be more comfortable in bed with others so introduction of a suitable partner may well be a price mover sooner rather than later. I don’t really understand why Eric feels he needs to wait for the WA Govt to finalise UG regs before he wheels and deals, but I hope he can at least demonstrate all his old shekannery like he did with ROC and pull a Con Gas deal out of the bag soon, just to prove he’s not really on the beach with his feet up on me.
Next excitement will be the conclusions from the JV deliberations on the 2019 Big Bastard drilling season, so something to look forward to in the next 2 weeks. As if the U4ST beam pump installation wasn’t thrilling enough, if they can’t figure out a cunning way to stuff that up.
The Venezuelans are revolting.
