All good stuff, thanks Cruiser. I was paying attention to Senex at the time of Silver Star 1, which was coal seam gas, but the horizontal section collapsed, not sure why it doesn’t mention that above. SXY & BPT had very good success with horizontal oil wells though, as it says.
Sorry, if this sounds like dumb arsed questions, but what I’m trying to get at is when BRU go horizontal drilling is as they start to drill through the oily bits, are they going to start making announcements to say they are in the pay zone and there’s luvly oil and they are still not finished... or can they only do that when the well is completed and they start testing? Just getting myself prepped for news flow/expectation management in advance. I’ve held SXY & BPT for longer than BRU, but they just don’t tend to give you blow by blow accounts of each and every oil well they drill, they are too busy - that SXY well was Deep Gas and also a JV with Origin and some other minnow Planet Gas who pinned everything they had on it, so they issued regular drilling reports until it went pear shaped, was always going to be very tricky that deep and I seem to remember it took a few months. Yatchy, are you saying we will only be drilling horizontally for a matter of days once we get to depth? If BRU can drill a couple of horizontals quickly before Rafa and achieve anything like the flows BPT have produced from horizontals, it’s going to get very interesting.
