Hi @solidbricks. I've had 6 or 7 stubbies of Asahi and ready to give my totally uneducated guess on those cores. The first and last few cores seem to represent some stock work and breccia as stated in the report ( not expecting too much from these).
The middle 6 seem obviously to be textbook epithermal Quartz. I don't think the darker areas are (Au rich) Ginguru bands, unfortunately. I reckon the dark patches or bands will be from high(ish) base metals, predominately, Manganese (?? Rhodochrosite).
Therefore, I'm thinking there'll be quite high Ag (>300g/t) and low(ish) Au (<2g/t) levels. This wouldn't be at all discouraging to me, because, the higher Au levels are just perhaps another one or two hundred meters deeper. Weolyu is probably going to be primarily a silver mine for the first part of its life IMO. Lots of Au too, but mainly Ag to begin with. I warn again that I am not a geologist, I've perhaps just had a few too many beers.
