Other unique features of the DNI Process™
Ø It can process mine tailings or waste material from other processes including, potentially, slagproduced by ferro-nickel plants.
Ø It is a flexible process able to adapt to changing market demands and can produce nickel metal orbattery precursors (such as nickel sulphate, cobalt sulphate and cobalt oxide), a mixed hydroxideproduct or a mixed oxide product both of which can be sold into the stainless steel market
Ø It will extract any metal which will dissolve in nitric acid.
Ø It produces a number of other saleable products such as haematite for the steel or pigment industryand magnesium oxide, without the creation of CO2 – the only process to do that.
Ø The DNi Process™ uses continuous, rapid tank leaching to achieve high metal recovery rates(90-95%), particularly of nickel and cobalt but also of haematite, magnesium oxide, scandium or anyother metal which will dissolve in nitric acid.
suggest read in conjunction with article from the Townsville bulletin regarding nearby Yabulu waste and then read between the lines
for those paywalled refers to the value of magnesium oxide being worth more than the cobalt
He said new extraction methodologies now meant that all ores were acceptable. He said magnesium oxide would be a by-product of these new technologies. Mr Trifilio said based on current pricing, magnesium oxide would generate revenues equal to or better than those generated by cobalt”.
Market cap of 4.5m and 2.2m in the bank. You'd think its worth some multiples of that.
