My only concern about the design is the fact that the buoys are not submerged and therefore the potential to create a perceived eyesore floating atop pristine coastal town waters.... The potential for the old, not in my backyard syndrome etc.

Not everyone is a Daryl Kerrigan "look at that lovely bobbing array of buoys floating just off shore from my coastal town retreat, how's the serenity. It's a reminder of man's ability to generate electricity"

There's potential for backlash from different groups, residents and boaties spring to mind, if an array was proposed for "their backyard"

Thoughts? Maybe I've missed something? Could always just paint them blue I guess
