There are a few howls here about how the ASX allows this. Lets be clear ... an investor presentation is mean to sell "sizzle" (or in AKK case "fizz"). There is NO LEGAL OR FINANCIAL BASIS to the numbers in such presentations. Some are highly speculative. Lots of numbers are inferred, missing or just plain made up. I've reviewed hundreds of such presentations - mostly US corporates - and then compare that to actual reported financial statements filed with regulatory bodies (for which false information can end up with you in jail). And when a company highlights something its because they want to draw your attention away from something.
Their reported financials have told a different story to their investor presentations. Their operating results tell a different story to reported filings with state regulators. Their inferred results and substitute numbers in forecast tell a different story to other similar operating company forecasts. Above all, when you take the time to analyze the information the inconsistencies are clearly evident.
So then, how many posters here have tried to deliberately misconstrue "facts"? Everyone do yourselves a favor and REMEMBER THEM. Did they have a motive? Why were these posters so emphatic about silencing any contrarian view, no matter how many facts were given or company assumptions challenged. This is not the first time this has happened on HC and it wont be the last. The BEST DEFENSE you have on small cap stocks is research. And if you are "just having a punt" why bother - you've placed $500 to win - sit back and watch the race. If you have "punted"and you need to spruik it (i.e. no fundamental reasoning) so it rises so you can sell and move on then how different to the mgmt are you? Just a different delivery medium.
Yes crying out about how the ASX allows this is hard to believe. Not much you can do about that. But you can do something about HC spruikers.
