I will put it to you in this way eastwest101.

I have never believed in the story which was painted around here by the believers (blinkers wearing posters, perhaps paid too) and our past dearly beloved CEO which pushed for this merger to come to fruition. Too many ifs and buts as far as I was concerned at the time, plus all the rubbish posted by some posters, some of them claiming they were Germans, which were constantly telling us how good they were and how good things were going to be following this merger. I was constantly attacked, along with a couple others thinking along the same lines that I did, let alone been referred to the Mods, but, where are they now though......that is the main point.

Now tell me, did anything improve since the merger or did we see a drop in value of our shares prices instead.??

Do you remember the constant baseless ramp about Mitsubishi, the hundreds of millions of dollars they were going to pour in in Cloncurry, let alone the crap which followed about money pouring in for all of us, and whatever else....................... too many to mention.??

Now where is that famous huge amounts of money pouring in for us to start mining our Cloncurry Assets.?? Don't hold your breath. Not for now anyway. But, like you, I am starting to think that as soon as the opportunity will arise, bingo.......it will soon be dumped or handed over to someone else while we won't be getting a penny out of it as it will all go to the much needier NA company and possibly to some of their executives too. Usually when these sort of things happens, shareholders would get a special dividends to reward them for their patience but don't hold your breath on that one mate because you might run out of air. We will be left out to dry in the cold. Mark my words on that. Yet again, that is all IMHO and you can DYOR.!!

My gut feeling always was that the merger only favoured one party, and that was the Canadians which were extremely desperate to get their hands on our cash, and someone has been conned real and good on that one in agreeing to what was proposed at the time. That was their number one priority while IMO it could have also suited our ex chief in charge to gain a good permanent position in an overseas listed company..........of all places....... in North America. Well, you can always DYOR on that one too.

As for my holding and sentiment well mate what else can I put as sentiment with what has been made available to us.?? Not many options are there....

You may now ask me as to why I didn't sell before the SoA, but here it is........The only reason I didn't sell at the time prior to the SoA was because I thought that we had to support to stop it dead on it's tracks....I was wrong and now I am stuck.

The only reason I am holding is due to the fact that I have inherited these hot dog shares, which IMO could be suffering of a little mange, (perhaps too strong that even the vet is not capable of treating it), and given to me because I held some AOH shares. But I am living in hope that they will pick up to my AOH entry levels and you won't see me for dust. I made it very clear in the past to all sundries of all the bad experiences I had with NA's companies and I am seriously trying my best of not going through a repetition of my past experiences.

Oh, and one more thing....I do remember as well saying that these shares have now become a field day for short term punters/traders....................Was I right.??

Cheers mate and nice to read your posts.
