Sydney - Wednesday - July 14: (RWE Aust Business News) - Aussie Q Resources (ASX:AQR) has received assays from two drill holes at the Whitewash South project in central Queensland. The assays revealed significantly higher grade copper intersections in the holes drilled near the southern end of Whitewash South. Aggregate assays from the two holes are 61m at 486ppm molybdenum, 0.20pc copper, 1.7g/t silver and 47ppm tungsten and 64m at 308ppm molybdenum, 0.27pc copper, 3.5g/t silver and 152ppm tungsten. Recent drilling has connected the established area of mineralisation at Whitewash and Whitewash South, demonstrating continuous molybdenum and copper mineralisation over a current strike length of 2km. Current drilling to the south of Whitewash South is designed to test the potential for extensions of mineralisation across a greater strike length. "Recent assays have revealed increasingly high grade copper intercepts in the southern area of the Whitewash South prospect demonstrating significant potential for further extension," executive director of exploration, John Goody, said. "These high grade copper intersections follow closely from very strong assays revealing high grade molybdenum mineralisation. "When viewed in conjunction, the high grade molybdenum and new copper mineralisation are supporting an increasingly attractive mineral assemblage at Whitewash South."
